THE CAPTAINS MEDLEY
When I was one I ate a scone, going out to sea
I jumped aboard a pirate ship and the Captain says to me,
We’re going over, upsy under, stand at attention, stand at ease,
Salute the captain, bend your knees.
I had a bloater and it was double jointed, I gave it to another girl and she was disappointed,
My word Edith I’ll tell your father, for kissing Harvey Hinchcliff around yon corner.
How many kisses did he give you? PEPPERS.
Ikle, okle, chocolate bottle, ikle, okle, out, turn the dirty dishcloth inside out.
When I was two, I buckled my shoe, going out to sea
I jumped aboard a pirate ship and the Captain says to me,
We’re going over, upsy under, stand at attention, stand at ease,
Salute the captain, bend your knees.
Quick, quick the cat’s been sick, were were, under t’chair,
Hurry hurry fetch the jerry, no no fetch the po, Kate Kate your far too late,
T’carpets in a dreadful state.
How many crows can you pick from your nose,
In a English country garden, Well you pick them and you lick them, you roll ‘em and you stick’em.
In a English country garden,
When I was three, I lost my keys going out to sea,
I jumped aboard a pirate ship and the Captain says to me,
We’re going over, upsy under, stand at attention, stand at ease,
Salute the captain, bend your knees.
Stick it. What with? Jam. How can I manage it? The best way you can.
Never let your ding dong dangle in the dirt, always keep your ding dong wrapped up in your shirt.
When I was four my feet were sore going out to sea,
I jumped aboard a pirate ship and the Captain says to me,
We’re going over, upsy under, stand at attention, stand at ease,
Salute the captain, bend your knees.
Jingle bells, Bat Man smell, Robin’s on his way.
Father Christmas lost his trousers on the milky way.
Once an angle said to me, “would you like a cup of tae,
I said no Joe, I like coco better than tae.
John get up and light the fire, turn the gas a little bit higher,
Go and tell your Aunt Maria, baby’s got a tooth.
